Overview

We are excited to announce the release of our new Meeting Room Panel Screen feature, now available for sites that utilise meeting room panels outside of their resources. This new functionality enhances real-time visibility into meeting room availability by displaying up-to-date status directly on the panel. The screen will dynamically show whether a room is available or busy, updating instantly as resource bookings are made or modified.

Pre-requisites

We recommend you create a new account on Equiem, e.g.: roombookings@yourbuilding.com - we don't recommend you log-in with your own credentials due to your elevated permission.
Update the permission of the newly created account to Bookings Observer only. To do this you’ll need to login as property manager on the site and go to settings -> users -> search for the new account created and assign the bookings observer role for all the resources available on that site.
Once the account is updated, go to your room panel and log in to your Equiem site using the newly created account which now has the Bookings Observer role and then follow the instructions below to navigate to the room panel selection.
Repeat step 3 on all devices and select the correct room panel to display on each.
Secure the room panel so nobody is able to make changes but you.

How to use Resources Room Panels

Open Equiem One with a user that has the Bookings Observer role.
Once logged in, update the URL via the browser to include “bookings/select-room” after the site URL. Eg. https://equiem.one/bookings/select-room
Select the required resource for the display on the resource room panel.
End Users can book resources as normal
Rooms pages panel screens update periodically automatically
