Campaign Summary

Campaign Type: Competition with Community Contribution
Campaign Objective: Community Builder

Encourage members to share song suggestions for your very own community playlist that can be shared on your platform. 

This community initiative is a great way to introduce members to your new platform and give them a taste of what’s to come!

Campaign Delivery

  1. Source and purchase a prize. 

    We recommend something relating to the competition such as noise cancelling headphones or a speaker.

  2. Locate the post titled ‘Help us build our [PLATFORM] Community Playlist and you could win [PRIZE]!’ in the Content Management System. Fill in and amend the details as indicated by the square brackets. Adapt the content to suit, if required.
    You will need to decide when you would like the competition to open and close. We recommend opening the competition two weeks after the launch event and running for two weeks.

    Once you have made the changes, set the content to publish on your chosen date.

Make sure you have activated your launch campaign of content as a first step, otherwise you will not be able to find launch content in the CMS.

  1. Include the content in your Newsletter or send a Single Post Notification to encourage interest.

    If you are running the competition for our recommended two weeks, include the competition in two communications.

  1. Once the competition has ended, you will need to create a Spotify playlist including all the tracks members have suggested. You can create a free Spotify account to do this here: https://www.spotify.com/uk/signup

    You can call the playlist [SITE]’s Community Playlist

Tip: We recommend removing any songs marked explicit so  everyone can listen no matter where they are

  1. Once this is complete, you can randomly select a winner from those that participated using the Comment Report within the post on the Content Management System. Arrange collection of the winner’s prize.

Tip: Take a picture of the winner with their prize to use in the wrap up post.

  1. Locate the post titled ‘The [SITE] playlist is here!’ in the Content Management System. Fill in and amend the details as indicated by the square brackets including the winner’s name and photo if applicable. 

    Include the link to the Spotify playlist in the content, you can also paste the link to the playlist at the end of the content and the Spotify player will embed in the content.

  2. Share the playlist content in your next Newsletter. 

    Ensure the competition post is removed from the Featured Feed.

Tip: Create a Quick Link for your Community Playlist so it can still be easily accessed once the content has expired.
