Create an Event post when you need to add specifics like a date and time to your post. Use these for your community events, local area events, virtual events, giveaways or operational events e.g. shutdowns. You can also create a recurring event such as a weekly fitness class.
When published, an Event post will be added to the Events page and will display in the event calendar. An Event post can also be included in your Featured feed and custom homepage feeds. A user can comment on an Event post and RSVP (if this has been enabled).

An Event post also includes the RSVP and Check-in lists - use these when you want to get an attendee list for your event, and if you want to see which attendees checked in.
