Overview
The Card ID feature for Visitor Management has security befefits which allow for building receptionist or property managers to export a list of unreturned card’s issued to visitors which can then be revoked within the building’s access control system.
Receptionists are now able to track physical access cards that are issued to visitors.
When enabled, receptionist can pre-allocate Card ID’s for pre-booked visitors or add them upon check-in of visitors.
For walk-in visitors, receptionist can provide the Card ID via the Checked-In tab of the reception desk.
Cards are marked as returned upon visitor check-out.
Only Property Managers and Workplace Managers can enable / disable Card ID
Enabling Card ID
Go to Visitor Management > Settings
Find the reception and click Edit.
Tick the checkbox Enable Card ID Tracking.
If the user returns the card at the end of the day, the receptionist would see the filed Card ID with a green background.
If the user does not return the card, the Card ID field will be grey and the receptionist would have to report it to the person responsible for access control and the card that was not retuned would be deactivated.
Card ID activity is captured against the Activity History of a visitor within the meatball menu within the Reception View.
