Notifications Overview
You can control notification preferences in the below areas.
Hover over any check box in Equiem One for more information on the notification it relates to
General
This section relates to general platform communications, for example, a weekly building newsletter or push notifications to promote new retailer offers.
You can opt-in or out of:
Push Notifications
Emails
Bookings
This section is only applicable to those who have the bookings module on their platform.
As an admin, you can opt-in or out of notifications for the following booking related events:
Confirmation
Update
Cancellation
Approval request
Decline
As an end user, you can opt-in or out of notifications for the following booking related events:
Confirmation
Update
Cancellation
Reminder
Awaiting approval
Decline
Charge adjustment
User Accounts
The notification in this section is triggered when a user account needs manual approval. For example, when a user attempts to register on your platform with an email domain that does not align with the approved domains set for that company in Equiem One.
You can opt-in or out of the below notification:
Awaiting approval
To prevent pending user accounts from being overlooked, it’s essential that at least one team member receives these notifications. If every Property Manager at the site has this notification unchecked, approval emails will be sent to the contact email address entered for the site in Admin Panel.
Updating Notification Settings on Behalf of a User
To begin, log into Equiem One and select Settings, then choose the Users tab.
Using the search bar, search for the user you want to unsubscribe from notifications for by typing in their name or email address. Ensure you are on the All Users tab.
Click on the user to open their profile. Click the Notifications tab.
Use the checkboxes to de-select/select the required notification option(s). Once you have made the changes, click Save Changes.
Please note that under no circumstances should you toggle a user's notification preferences to ON, unless at their express request.
Updating Notification Settings as a User
Users can also manage their own notification preferences in their profile on the platform. This has a slightly different process depending on the platform being used.s
Equiem One
Log into the Equiem One and select your profile icon in the top right hand corner
Select Manage Profile
Switch to the Notifications tab
Select/Unselect check boxes as required
Press Save Changes
Mobile App
Open the mobile app and select your profile icon in the top right hand corner
Switch to the Preferences tab and select Your Details
Select/Unselect check boxes as required
Press Save in the top right hand corner
Web Platform
Open the web platform and select Menu in the top right hand corner
Select My Account
On the Details tab, select/uncheck boxes as required
Press Save in the top right hand corner
By deselecting the checkboxes, users will only be removed from the email/notification marketing list (e.g. Newsletters), they will still receive automated system emails such as Store Order Confirmations, Events RSVP Confirmations and Password Resets.
