1.) Filtering of users by the default filters at the top of the table. These tabs also indicate the number of users in the particular state:

2.) Searching users. Search applies across all filter views i.e. they aren't narrowed down to the particular filter tab you are looking at (e.g. Active). This helps you locate an account even if it's deactivatedIf you search a particular term, it applies to the tab that you are on i.e. if you are on the All Users tab, you are searching for a user which may exist as active, deactivated or pending. If you go to the Deactivated tab, and search, your search is narrowed down to that particular tab i.e. it will only return matches if the account is in a Deactivated status.

3.) Creating custom filters. This can be done via the Filters button in the top right and selecting from the available filter options. Filters apply to the current tab you are viewing e.g. Active.
