Product: Equiem One

Release Date: 1.06.2023

A product tour has been added on Equiem One. This is the first time we've utilised it so please share any feedback if you find it helpful.

User Management

User Management is now available in Equiem One. Manage the profiles of users at your site both as a Property Manager and Workplace Manager.

The original user management features are still present in Admin Panel but we will look to phase these out (when viewing in a site context e.g. Rialto) over the coming months.

Accessing User Management

This is done via a new Settings option in the left-hand menu:

Property Manager vs Workplace Manager

The Workplace Manager work has been completed but we're unable to release it right now as there's a dependency to complete some other work. We hope to release it in a few weeks.

A Property Manager can view and manage all users in a site context whereas a Workplace Manager can only manage users for their particular company. Most other things remain the same with the exception of the Company being excluded from certain parts of the Workplace Manager UI e.g. on the main user table, in the filters and also the company selector showing on the user profile.

User Table

The user table identifies all of the users at a site, or in a company if viewing as a Workplace Manager. On the main users tab, you can perform the following actions:

1.) Filtering of users by the default filters at the top of the table. These tabs also indicate the number of users in the particular state:

2.) Searching users. Search applies across all filter views i.e. they aren't narrowed down to the particular filter tab you are looking at (e.g. Active). This helps you locate an account even if it's deactivated.

3.) Creating custom filters. This can be done via the Filters button in the top right and selecting from the available filter options. Filters apply to the current tab you are viewing e.g. Active.

Once a filter is added, you can define the specifics of the filter and add or remove them:

4.) Performing bulk actions to update the Groups and Status of a user. Groups are what were previously referred to as Roles. Simply select a row(s) and the table header will be replaced with a bulk action:

5.) Updating the individual status for a particular user. Simply select the status drop down for a particular row:

6.) Determine if a user has a verified email address:

User Profile

Selecting a row will launch the user profile which will slide in from the right hand side. Here you can manage all aspects of the user profile, same as you could previously do in Admin Panel.

Mobile Screens

The above screens have been designed to be responsive on a tablet and mobile device. You can perform most of what you can do on a desktop on your mobile device with the exception of bulk updating users.

The user table is intentionally designed so that you can scroll horizontally to view the data:

Selecting the Filter button will load up all of the available filters and they behave similar to viewing on a desktop:

The status of an individual user can be updated by selecting the status drop down:

Selecting a row will load up a full screen user profile where you can manage the profile:

FAQ's

Question

Answer

When will the Workplace Manager work be released?

We expect to be able to release this in the next couple of weeks.

What’s the difference between the Property Manager and Workplace Manager?

A Property Manager will see all users at the particular site and can manage their profiles. A Workplace Manager can only view and manage the profiles of users at their particular company. There are also some other minor differences for example a Workplace Manager can’t see the Company filter in the user table, nor in the filters list.

When will pagination be added to the user table?

We will be working on this in the coming weeks. We expect to get this released with the Company Management release in the coming months.

Will I be able to bulk select all users in the table when using a particular filter?

Yes, this is a new feature we are looking to add in the coming months in addition to the pagination feature.

What’s next?

Apart from the aforementioned items, the next items coming to EQ1 will be the ability to manage companies at a site and also manage a particular company as a Workplace Manager.
