Overview

This overview is a general guide and may require additional steps or information based on individual or organizational needs. Always refer to the official Apple Developer website for the most up-to-date and detailed instructions.

Prerequisites

Before you start creating Apple Developer Account you have to prepare:

  • Credit Card

  • Company Email Address - we recommend generic e.g. mobile@yourcompany.com

  • Company website

  • Name and email address to be associated with the account (this person will need to provide a form of ID to verify)

  • DUNS number (you can learn how to get a DUNS number in section Register the Account in Apple Developer Console, steps from 10 to 15)

  • Registered company address

If you have just created a DUNS number, you must know that the process of creating it for your company may take up to 30 days. Without the DUNS number you cannot complete the process of creating Apple developer account.

Register the Account in Apple Developer Console

  1. Go to the Apple Developer program enrollment website: https://developer.apple.com/programs/enroll/

  2. Choose the 'Start Your Enrollment' button at the bottom of the page. This will direct you to the Apple Developer Program Enrollment page.

  3. You'll need an Apple ID to proceed. If you don't have one, click 'Create yours now’ and fill in the required fields: name, surname, country and birthdate. Then write the email and password for this account. Select the country code and input your telephone number, then select how Apple will verify your number. At the end insert the captcha code and click Continue.

  4. A pop-up ask you to verify your email address. Here you have to input the code you have received in your email.

  5. The next step is to verify your phone number.

  6. After the verification is complete, you will be automatically redirected to the contract page.

  7. Review the Apple Developer Agreement, check the confirmation box, and click 'Submit'.

  8. Select your entity type as Company/Organization and click Continue.

  9. On the next screen you will see the notification that you need a D-U-N-S number - a unique 9 digit identification number provided by an american company. If you don’t have the D-U-N-S number, click Check now.

  10. You will be asked to provide the details of your company and the system will verify if you already have a D-U-N-S number. If not, you can create one.

  11. After completing the form you will see the information about already existing D-U-N-S number or the need to create it. If you have it, click the name of your organization and then click Continue.

  12. You will see the information about the D-U-N-S number that has been sent to your email.

     

  13. If you don’t have a D-U-N-S number, you will see the following message with the form you must complete in order to get your number. When you complete all the required fields, click Submit.

  14. You will get the notification that your request is being processed. It may take up to 30 days to get the D-U-N-S number.

If you just requested a D-U-N-S number, you have to temporarily pause the account creation process.

  1. On the next screen, provide your legal entity name and D-U-N-S number. Write the captcha code and click Continue.

  1. In the following page, Apple asks for more information such as the email address, business telephone number and Tax ID. Below, Apple asks you if you have the authority to sign legal agreements on behalf of your organization. Complete the necessary information and click Continue.

Your subscription will be verified by Apple. You will receive a confirmation email within 3 days. You will be contacted by Apple to complete your application.

Pay an Annual Fee

An annual fee of $99 is required to keep the developer account active. Apple will guide you through the payment process. You can use credit/debit card details or other payment methods available in your region.

Verification of the Enrollment Process

Apple will communicate the status of your enrollment process via email. Ensure that you check your inbox (including spam/junk folders) regularly for these updates. Once you receive a verification email, follow the instructions provided to complete the process.

Accept Terms & Conditions and/or Agreements

Carefully read and accept the Terms & Conditions and other agreements presented by Apple. These documents outline the rules and guidelines you'll need to adhere to while using their platform.

Add a Credit Card for Future Payments

  • Log in to the Apple Developer Console.

  • Navigate to 'Program resources' and then 'Membership and payments'.

  • Here, you can add or update your payment method.

Linking Apple Developer Account with Equiem

1. Go to App Store Connect and log in: https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/login

  1. Click Users & Access and then the blue + icon. To give Equiem developers the Apple Developer Resources, you need to use the mobileteam@equiem.com.au email, first name can be ‘Equiem’ and last name can be ‘Team’. Tick the Admin role and select Access to Developer Resources.
