You can set up a discount code to run across one or more of your products to encourage customers to order through your store.

Products can’t be included in a discount code if the discount results in the value of the checkout being below $1.00/£1.00

Discount Code Formats & Restrictions

Formats

You can set up a discount code to offer the user a specific value (e.g $5 off) or a percentage discount (e.g 30% off).

Restrictions

  1. Total redemption limit (How many times the code can be used in total.)

  2. Total redemption limit per user (How many times the code can be used by a user.)

  3. Total spend limit (The total amount of money that can be spent. Once this limit has been reached the discount code will no longer be valid.)

  4. Product quantity limit per user (The maximum quantity of participating products that the discount code applies to on a user basis. This limit should only be used in conjunction with the percentage discount format and also counts towards any total redemption limit per user)

You can also limit the discount by time of day and dates, if required.

Creating a Discount Code

You will need the Manage Discounts permission added to your profile before you can create a discount code. Learn how to edit user permissions here.

This document provides a detailed guide on creating a discount code in the Store Manager, focusing on the 'Format & General Limits' section of the creation form.

Creating a New Discount Code

  • Access: From the Discount Codes menu, select the ‘Create New Discount Code’ button to access the creation form.
