CSV Encoding In Excel

CSV Encoding In Excel

spaceOS exports data in CSV files. It is organized, but to view it in a proper table in Microsoft Excel, you'll need to encode it first so that all symbols are displayed correctly.

To do that:

  • Open Microsoft Excel

  • Go to the Data tab

  • Click on the Get Data -> From Text/CSV

  • Choose the File Origin (Unicode UTF-8) and delimiter and click Load

To save the file as Excel Workbook with UTF-8 encoding:

  • Click on File and select Save As

  • Choose the file type Excel Workbook (*.xlsx)

  • Click on More Options

  • In the dialog box, click on the Tools dropdown menu and select Web Options

  • In the Web Options dialog box, select the Encoding tab and choose Unicode (UTF-8) from the dropdown menu

  • Click OK to close the box, and then click Save
