Occupancy Display: Manual
This web browser version is easily implemented on display screens mounted near the bookable space by following the steps described below.
To do that for a specific room, your admin would need to:
Change the tablet setting and set its screen to Always On
Get a PIN and a dedicated link for the space to use it on the tablet
Always On Display (iOS)
To keep the tablet's display always turned on so the occupancy display is always visible, you'll need to:
Set the auto-lock to Never
Disable automatic software updates
Enable Guided Access mode
Set the auto-lock to Never
The default energy settings on your iPad will lock the screen if no interaction with the screen takes place. To keep it from going to "sleep", update the Auto-Lock settings.
To do this, go to your iPad Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock. Set Auto-Lock to "Never".
Disable automatic updates
Automatic software updates can also cause devices to turn off the display. That's why we recommend disabling Auto Update System in the settings section (General > Software updates > toggle automatic updates to "off").
Enable Guided Access mode
To limit the users that can actually apply changes to the tablet and therefore avoid having someone change the display we recommend enabling Guided Access mode.
You can find the complete instruction on how to do that here.
Checking the Occupancy
The timeline on the right-hand side shows at what times the room is occupied.
Each booking in the timeline includes information about:
The meeting's organizer
The company where the organizer works
Number of participants
Booking via Display
To book a room via the QR code right at the source:
Activate your phone's camera
Scan the QR code on the bottom side of the screen
Once the booking screen of the app loads, you start the booking process
Always On Display (Android)
To keep the display of your Android device always turned on so the Occupancy Display is always visible, you'll need to:
Turn on the Always On option
Disable automatic software updates
Note: Please take note that settings may vary depending on your tablet provider
Toggle Always On
Default Android settings will lock the screen of your device if it isn't interacted with. To keep it from doing so, you'll need to flick the Always On toggle.
To do this, go to your Settings > Lock screen > Always On Display. Toggle this option on.
Disable automatic updates
Automatic software updates can also cause devices to turn off the display. That's why we recommend disabling Auto Updates in the settings section.
To do that, go to Settings > Software update and turn the Auto download option off.
Getting PIN and Link
To get the space's PIN, the admin will need to do the following:
Go to the Admin mode in the web version of our app
Go to the Inventory tab
Choose the required space
Note: Currently, Occupancy Displays work only for private offices and meeting rooms
If the feature is available, you'll see a "Show occupancy display" link at the top right of the space description. Click it
In a pop-up, you'll see a dedicated link to the space's Occupancy Screen and its PIN
