What is a Campaign?
A Campaign is a series of content pieces grouped together to form a continuous run of content. They can be made up of News, Events and Building Information posts, as well as Polls and Quick Links.
A Campaign allows you to copy multiple pieces of content to your site in one go. Each content piece will be set to publish in a predetermined order.Â
For example, a Campaign for a Pet Photography Competition may consist of the following pieces spread out over 3Â weeks:
A post announcing the competition (Day 1)
A post asking members to vote for their favourite (Day 14)
A post announcing the winner of the competition (Day 21)
By copying and activating the above campaign, you will copy all the pieces of content required to run the Pet Picture Competition in one go.
Why should you create a Campaign?
When using Campaigns, you will most likely be copying and activating Campaigns that already exist from our template library, however, there are some instances where you may find it beneficial to create your own Campaign. Examples of this are:
Â
When you are writing content for a competition or activation that you will run more than once for example, a monthly Book Club that includes a post for members to vote for the next book, an event post for the meeting and a follow up post after the event
When you are running a competition or activation across multiple sites
Â
Always check the Equiem Campaign Templates Library before creating a Campaign, it is likely there is already an existing campaign you can use.
