Using Contest & Editorial Feeds [US]

This article is for customers in the US receiving a monthly Contest & Editorial feed.

This guide outlines the step-by-step process of copying and activating your Contest & Editorial Feed.

Overview

The Contest & Editorial feed is available to Engage customers in the US to support you in engaging your users and boosting usage on your platform. It’s a monthly campaign which contains either four or five contests, and two editorial posts per week, to keep your users engaged across each month. 

Each month, we’ll notify you when the upcoming month's campaign is ready, and you’ll be free to use the content at your location. This includes copying, editing and publishing the content we share, sending communications, managing the winner announcements and handling the prize distribution.

Copying the Feed

  1. Open Equiem One and click Content Management from the left-hand menu

  2. From the Content Management System, check in the top right hand corner that you are in the Activated Library. If you are not, click your profile icon in the top right hand corner and use the menu to switch to the Activated Library.

  3. Click Campaigns > Templates from the top toolbar.

  4. The most recent monthly campaign should be visible near the top of the list but you can use the search bar to locate it if required.

  5. Click the 3 dot menu and select Copy.

  6. Choose your content library from the drop-down list. Then press Copy.

  7. Press View Campaign to be taken to the feed in your content library. From here, you can review the content to check you are happy.

If you press Done instead of View Campaign, it’s important to change the library to yours in the top right hand corner after this step. If you still see Activated Library, click the icon in the top right hand corner to change to your library, then head to Campaigns > Templates to locate the copied campaign.

Activating the Feed

  1. From the Content Management System, check in the top right hand corner that you are in the your content library. If you are not, click your profile icon in the top right hand corner and use the menu to switch.

  2. Click Campaigns > Templates from the top toolbar. Your recently copied campaign should be at the top of the list.

  3. Click the 3 dots next to the campaign name (without selecting the campaign) and select Activate. If you select the campaign, either press the back button on your browser or go back to Campaigns > Templates to locate the 3 dot menu.

  4. Tick your site(s) and select the launch date. This should be the first Monday of the month.

  5. Press Activate All.

  6. Press Done once the campaign copy is complete.

Publishing the Feed

  1. From the Content Management System, check in the top right hand corner that you are in the your content library. If you are not, click your profile icon in the top right hand corner and use the menu to switch.

  2. Click Content > All Content

  3. Switch to the calendar view to check the publish dates of the campaign. You should see one contest post on every Monday and an editorial post on every Tuesday and Thursday across the month. Your posts will show in Draft status.

  4. Switch back to the grid view, this will make it easier to manage the publication of your content.

  5. Use the arrow in the search bar to filter your view by the following:

    1. Site (if your site is part of a portfolio)

    2. Status: Draft

    3. Campaign: [MONTH] [YEAR]

  6. Now, all the content that is displayed in the grid view will be part of the current campaign. Using the drop down menu on each post, you can change the status from Draft to Published.

    As posts publish, they will be removed from your filtered view, making it easier for you to see what you have left to work on.

    The editorial posts (distinguished by the ‘minute read’ time in the title) don’t require editing and can be published straight away.



    Your contest templates should be edited to include your chosen prize before publishing. You might also choose to edit other elements before publishing such as the contest question, imagery or entry period.
