Creating a Campaign

Open the Content Management System.

Navigate to the top toolbar, click Campaigns and then select Templates from the dropdown. Click Create.

Once you have clicked Create, you will be taken to the below screen.

Enter the Campaign Name. This should be something clear and concise that explains what the campaign is, for example Monthly Networking Campaign.

Enter any Notes relevant to the campaign, for example, ‘Start the Campaign at the beginning of each month.’ Click Save.

Click New Post and select the required post type from the drop-down menu. Complete the content for your required post and click Save. Repeat this process until you have all the required posts for your Campaign. You can choose to add content to a Campaign that already exists on your site.

You will be taken to the below screen where you will see all the posts in your Campaign:

The day(s) later column determines the order the posts will be published in. The first post in the Campaign should always be set to 0 day(s) later.

You will then need to adjust the remaining posts to reflect the correct order of content and the publish time. For example, for the Monthly Networking campaign, the first post will be published on the first day of the month, then 7 days later the reminder will go out and a further 7 days later, the event wrap-up post will go out. All posts will be published at 8am.

This will look like this:

Tip: The day(s) later column is always referring to the first post so for subsequent posts, you will always need to count how many days later from the first post. If you get stuck just ask yourself ‘How many days after the first post has published do I want this post to be published?’

Note: The publish dates and times can be adjusted once the campaign has been activated.

Once you are happy, click Save. If you need to change the Status, Authored By, add Tags or tick Featured content, you will need to click on the name of the post from this screen to make the changes then click Save.

You can now find your Campaign by clicking Campaigns then Templates from the top toolbar. Your Campaign will be in the My Templates tab.
