New Operational view

Objectives

Provide the Property Manager with an alternative operational view of active bookings

Key features

The feature includes:

  • List view of all bookings regardless of their status

  • Day view of all approved bookings

  • 5 day view of all approved bookings

  • 7 day view of all approved bookings

  • Month view of all approved bookings

  • Enhanced filtering

How to use the new feature

To access the new feature the Property Manager must be in the Bookings application and can choose, if they wish to view bookings by list or calendar via the toggle as highlighted below

When viewing the approved bookings by calendar view, the Property Manager can elect to view the bookings in the following formats:

  • Day

  • 5 days (Mon - Fri)

  • 7 days

  • Month

  • Note:

    • When viewing by day the system will display bookings in one of the time blocks based on the start time:

      • 00:00 - 6:00am

      • 6:00am - 9:00am

      • 9:00am - 12:00pm

      • 12:00pm - 3:00pm

      • 3:00pm - 6:00pm

      • 6:00pm - 00:00

  • When viewing by day the system will list up to 30 bookings per time bracket and, provide a "Show more" option to display any additional bookings

  • When viewing by week the system will list up to 30 bookings and provide a count indicator for how many more bookings there are for that day

  • When viewing by month the system will list up to 4 bookings and provide a count indicator for how many more bookings there are for that day

Where the Property Manager wishes to view the day in greater detail whilst in the week or month views, they can select the date and they will be directed to the date view

Where the Property Manager wishes to view a booking in greater detail they can select that booking and they wil be directed to the booking details page where they can view, edit or cancel the booking (as per current practice)

Where the Property Manager wishes to filter the bookings they wish to view they can select the filter button and will be provided with a list of options they can apply. Please note the filters will differ between the list view and the calendar view

The system will remember if you were in list view or calendar view when you return to the page so there is no need to have to continually toggle between list and calendar view if you have a preference

Summary

  • Property Manager can now have both a list view and calendar view to select form when they wish to view bookings

  • Only approved bookings will appear in the calendar view

  • Advanced filtering allows the Property Manager to view bookings by building or even level, in addition to Resource Name and Type
