Deals Overview

Deals are a type of product in the Marketplace where a user is offered a single call to action instead of purchasing the product. Users do not transact with deals.

Deal products can be identified by means of a deals icon overlay on the image and a 'Deal' tag below the product information. You can also choose not to include the Deal overlay if required, for example, if you would like to promote something on the app such as a seasonal menu or offering that isn't necessarily a deal.

There are 3 deal formats outlined below.

  1. Non-Redeemable

A non-redeemable deal simply promotes an offer and contains no call to action. For example, it could be used to promote a particular offer that's available on a particular day of the week e.g. receive a free coffee with every order placed in store on Wednesdays, between 2:00pm and 3:00pm.

  1. Redeemable

A redeemable deal differs to a non-redeemable deal in that the user is displayed their unique user ID on the deal, which enables them to redeem the deal in store. This enables the vendor to track redemptions, subject to any limitations of the offer. For example, the non-redeemable offer above may only be redeemed if the user presents the app with their unique code in store. If there is a limit of a single redemption, the vendor can add the code to their system, or running list, in order to ensure further redemptions aren't made. Note, redemptions are not tracked through our app.

Note that the user code will be the same code for any deals created and is unique to the particular user.

  1. Affiliate

The final deal format is via affiliate linking. With this particular format, an affiliate link can be added to the deal as the call to action for users to redeem the deal. Link clicks are tracked on the analytics dashboard and can be tracked for engagement purposes or if there is an agreed referral fee involved with the deal.

All Vendors can add Deal products to their existing store, or site managers can create Deals Vendors to provide exposure for retailers that are not transacting via the platform.
