How to Add Products

Open the Store Manager, then click Catalogue on the left-hand side menu. 

Site Managers, you will need to select the appropriate Vendor from the list provided. Vendors, skip straight to the next step.

Click Add product and select Plain to create a standard product. 

First, add an Image, by choosing from your files on your device. When added this will show you the two views for the Product on the platform, the header and the thumbnail. You can delete the image or click the pencil icon to change the focal point of the image. Although the image is not required, we recommend always adding an image otherwise the product will display with a placeholder image to end users.

Create a Title for your product, then add a Product Description. This should be a short description that is shown on the product preview in your Marketplace.

Set the Status of your product, either Hidden or Live. Only products that are set to Live will be visible to users. 

Enter the price of the product and select your tax rate, the currency and tax rates will be set by region. If stock is limited, enter the number available, if it is unlimited leave this section blank.

Select the Category for your product; you can choose from existing vendor product categories or create a new one by typing the new name. Please note that new categories are case sensitive. If you are adding a new category, you will need to click on the new name or press the return/enter key in order to save it.

The new product will automatically be assigned to all Sites that the vendor has access to, you can click the X button next to the Site name to remove the product from each site as needed. The product will need to be assigned to at least one site to be able to be saved. The available sites will be determined by Equiem, if you think there should be additional sites listed please contact us at support@getequiem.com.

Choose Select Audience if you would like your product to be targeted to specific user groups e.g. a particular company. Check our Segmenting Products course to find out more about segmentation.

Product modifiers and Additional Information are covered in the next section of this course.

If your product takes more, or less, time to create or process than your Store average, you can set a different turnaround time for each product. Simply check this button and add in your product-specific turnaround time.

If your product is available only on certain days of the week e.g. Friday Happy Hours, or at certain times of the day e.g. Breakfast Items, or are seasonal e.g. Christmas Hampers, you can set a restricted date range, day of the week or time of day for each product. Simply check this button and add in your product-specific availability.

If your product has Terms & Conditions you can add them by checking this button and typing them in.

Finally, click Save once you are finished. If you need to cancel adding a product, simply click on the X icon in the top right-hand corner. You will then be redirected back to the products list page where you can manage and edit your product catalogue.
