A guide to auditing your platform
How often should you do it? What should you check for? Find out here!
Managing an Equiem platform means you'll likely spend more time looking at our tools than the front end of your platform, but it's important to regularly review the front end, see what your users can see, and make sure they are getting the best experience out of your platform.
We've put together a handy checklist below with our recommendations for auditing the front end of your platform and how often to do it.
Every 1 - 2 weeks:
Is everything in your Featured feed still current/relevant? If not, search for the post in the Content Management System and untick Featured News, then press Save.
Is there new content in your News or Featured Feed? If not, can you add any relevant updates or editorial content? This will help ensure users have something new to read each time they log inÂ
Is your events carousel full? If not, can you populate it with some local events?
Check all images are displaying correctly
Every month:
Review your Building Information posts. Are they all still accurate? Make any changes to the content or remove inaccurate posts where required
Review your Marketplace. Are all vendors and deals still available? Remove any that have now expired
Are all of your Quicklinks still relevant? Do they all still work?
If you have any Custom Content Feeds on your homepage, ensure the content in them is still accurate
Check all links on your platform still work
Check the Segmented Content section of the Content Management System to make sure there is no outdated content hiding there
When posting content:
We recommend checking the front end of the platform when you publish a piece of content to check you are happy with how it will appear to an end user. You can do this once you've set content to publish by clicking the 3 dots and 'View post in Site'. This is particularly important when publishing content containing a Poll.
Here you can check that images are displaying correctly, polls are correctly embedded and you are happy with the formatting.
