Resuming a Poll

Polls that are closed will be identified by a banner at the top of the poll content. The poll embed itself will also illustrate that the poll is in a closed state.

Resuming the Poll

A poll can be resumed if it has reached a closed state either automatically, or by being set to closed manually.

To resume a poll, simply:

Go to the closed poll and select the Edit button. Go to the Duration field and in order to resume the poll you need to set a new duration. The previous duration will already be stored in that field so simply change that value for a new duration.

Save the poll and you'll be returned to the preview page. The banner message stating the poll is closed will no longer show up and the Close Poll button will be reinstated, signalling that the poll has been resumed. If the poll embed itself is still showing as closed, simply refresh the page to reload the embed.

Polls must remain in a Published state in order for it to show up on the content. Providing the content, where it is embedded, is still published, there's no need to update anything and the poll will be open again for responses.

No data will be lost as part of resuming the poll and any subsequent responses will be added to the responses report available via the poll content itself.
